Cua Lo Beach – An attractive tourist destination

Located in the central province of Nghe An regarding 18km from Vinh city, Cua Lo beach is one of the most popular destinations for domestic and international tourists, especially in the summer.

Visitors to Cua Lo beach have a wonderful chance to discover lovely natural scenery, fancy distinctive tourist activities and taste seafood on the sand dunes near the crystal clear blue water. Tourists will travel over 350km to Cua Lo from Hanoi by car or train to flee the warmth and noise of town. Cua Lo is well-known for its 10-km beach, good accommodation and delicious seafood. Not far from Cua Lo are 3 small islands, referred to as Hon Ngu, Hon Chu, and Hon Mat, that are dazzlingly breath taking. Hotels on one aspect and pine and coconut trees on the opposite of the most road running along Cua Lo beach as well as the stands of trees growing as a natural barrier against beach erosion give cool cowl for sun-soaked tourists. In Cua Lo, tourists have the prospect to view variety of famous historical sites like the tomb of King Mai Hac De and Kim Lien village - the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh.

A tourism competition takes place annually, typically in early May, to welcome the primary tourists to the beach on summer vacation. Cua Lo has a number of huge swimming pools, whereas Cua Hoi on Hon Ngu island, simply 2km away, is well-known for delicious seafood at cheap costs. Near the beach there's a series of 3 and four-star hotels like the Green Hotel, Saigon-Kim Lien Hotel, Pacific Hotel and a number of other resorts. During the day, tourists will pay their time sunbathing or relaxing on the beach, drinking coconut juice or chatting with friends over a glass of beer and fresh seafood. Different activities supply such as karaoke singing, night fishing from little boats, and riding in a horse-drawn cart or on a tandem bicycle. 

On the beach, there's a fish market from that tourists can purchase fresh shrimp, squid, crabs and oysters, and ask  native restaurant owners to cook for them. The charge for cooking is simply between US$2-4.

What guests impress most to Cua Lo beach is that the honesty, friendliness and hospitality of the locals who invite them to purchase Cu Do cakes made from peanuts, sugar and ginger, and a few different special product like fish sauce or shrimp paste.
